Church House
2040 State Avenue

The first building constructed on the Xavier Campus, Church House is the residential building and campus headquarters for Gamma Lambda Mu, a thoroughly modern four-story glass and steel structure filled with frat boys -- unusually intelligent and geeky frat boys, to be sure, but frat boys nonetheless. The house is loud, the parties held within can be fairly wild, and most of the rooms are plastered with pictures of scantily-clad women alongside less sexually charged SF and comic book art and memorabilia. (Though, of course, it should be noted that most comic book superheroines wear very little indeed, and a lot of those classic spaceships are disturbingly phallic...)

The interior of the building is just as state-of-the-art as its façe, featuring all the latest amenities. The first floor holds two very spacious dens outfitted with big-screen TVs, an extensive private library, a large dining room and a vast kitchen with all manner of appliances and gadgets, as well as a smart fridge and smart cabinets that automatically tabulate their contents and automatically send weekly orders to a grocery delivery service based on the current membership's pre-programmed preferences. The kitchen also features countertop terminals offering access to a large database of recipes ranging from the ludicrously simple to the desperately complex, and a comprehensive bartender guide describing nearly every mixed drink known to man.

Church House's second floor offers many of the frat brothers' favorite features, including a huge arcade and game room, a vast computer lab and media center, and a small-scale movie theater featuring the best digital audio-visual systems available. The top two floors of Church House contain the various residential rooms, study lounges and conference rooms used by the frat brothers. Finally, its basement and subbasement levels contain a number of well-appointed, spectacularly well-equipped private laboratories for the exclusive use of the fraternity's members.

The house is also quite literally a "smart house," served by an AI currently known as Anna, with a physical aspect modeled after celebrity tennis player Anna Kournikova -- though the AI's name and face change frequently, in accordance with the often fickle tastes and loyalties of college-aged men. The AI has no personality to speak of, though she's generally solicitous and flirtatious toward her charges and always ready and eager to offer information culled from Gamma Lambda Mu's extensive collection of databases. Anna appears as a video image on monitors throughout the house, a three-dimensional holographic image that can manifest anywhere within the house (and in multiple places at once), and even a highly advanced android recently designed and built to serve as a housekeeper and general assistant. Naturally, rumor has it that Anna's android incarnation can fulfill the brothers' other physical needs; when asked, most of Gamma Lambda's membership seems to be inclined to swiftly change the subject rather than confirm or deny these accounts.
