Initially founded as an offshoot of Alpha Psi Tau, Omega Psi prides itself on openness, acceptance, and socially liberal values -- but unlike the sisters of Alpha Psi, the Omega Psis take a much more moderate stance and use reasoned, nonviolent methods of communication. To be sure, the sorority is still followed by stereotypes; there's never a shortage of dumb frat boys and sorority sisters willing to proclaim to the world that the Omega Psis are all devil-worshipping man-hating lesbians or some such. But, for the most part, particularly when compared to Alpha Psi Tau, Omega Psi is widely known as the sane 'alternative' sorority on campus.

That said, there is some truth to some of the rumors -- the Omega Psis don't have orgies and Black Masses in honor of the devil, but many of them are practicing witches. Many of the Greyson students who are in the know have long since learned that the Omega Psi sisters are the best people to go to with any sort of supernatural problem. Indeed, because they tend to serve as the channel for all such issues, the sisters effectively serve as a safeguard against mass exposure of the supernatural. Those who know about magic and such usually know where to go to get some help with their troubles, and will quietly refer their friends as necessary; and those who don't know can remain ignorant. Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not this effort to keep most of Greyson's student population in the dark will prove to be beneficial in the long term.
